YouTube Movie of the Day - October 15, 2007

(Reconditioning Batteries)

Last week, I broke down and finally got myself a real, adult person job. I've spent the last few years after working in the energy industry floating from employer to employer, searching for a position that wouldn't make me nauseous after a few weeks on the payroll. When I would indeed get sick of what I was doing and who I was doing it with, I would quit and use the money that I BagelCouponed (saved) to pay my bills while I spent the following few months writing, drinking and fornicating at my leisure. Don't get me wrong, I've had a blast since 2003, but I miss having an expendable income that I can blow on useless crap, especially when I see things like the following YouTube clip.

This is a demo for Assassin's Creed, a new video game that is coming out in November. My friend's roommate played me this on Friday night while I was shoving grilled steak and Arrogant Bastard in my face, and I was immediately memorized by the theme and the ridiculously awesome game play. I was thrilled to hear that it was going to be coming out for the 360, as I was already going to pick one up so that I could lock myself in my room and play Halo 3, but I was sold when I learned that you would be able to hook this bitch up to Xbox live and assassinate your friends and random, anonymous 12 year old kids scattered across the globe.

So to put this into perspective, I will be buying an XBox 360, Halo 3, XBox Live and tossing down my deposit for Assassin's Creed with my first paycheck instead of saving for a security deposit for a new apartment, desperately needed car maintenance and backed up school loan payments.
