YouTube Movie of the Day - 5/11 - May 11, 2007

(Reconditioning Batteries)

If you aren't on my Myspace page, first of all -- fuck you, lazy reader. Get proactive! Secondly, I put out a daily bulletin called YouTube Movie of the Day, where I show you what I deem to be the most watch-worthy YouTube selection of that day along with a little caption describing it. I've decided to move these from my Myspace bulletins to my website. Why? Because I fucking like web traffic, that's why.

To end our week long KungFu Mike Rawk Block, I give you the musical stylings of Christopher Cross with a live performance of his classic, Sailing. I chose the live version as opposed to the music video because I couldn't find the actual music video, and because I think it's funny that Christopher Cross looks like the guy that played the Revolting Blob in Billy Madison in his old age.

So pull a lawn chair out on to the deck, pour yourself a chilled glass of Chablis, and let the warm smoothness of Chris' guitar melt away the icy reality of your useless, futile existence.

The candles are a nice touch but the drummer looks retarded what with all the drooly grinning and rocking back and forth. And Christopher Cross has the voice of 1,000 angels. I am relieved you recognize his greatness.

I've never heard this song.

useless and futile? oh well, at least I'm not irrelevant and ineffective.

KUNGFU MIKE EDIT: You take that back, anonymous! YOU TAKE THAT BACK!!!

People, it is a goon sign that your false sense of self importance has finally swallowed your logic if you assume that a vaguely directed joke like that last line in the entry is A) me being serious, and B) directed at you personally.
